UEFA Champions League Introduction


UEFA Champions League (commonly referred to as simply the Champions League or historically known as the European Cup) is an annual competition of the Association Cup soccer organized by UEFA since 1955 for teams in Europe. The final of the competition - with the NFL Super Bowl - the most watched sporting event in the world every year, drawing just over 100 million viewers.

Prior to 1992 the tournament was officially called the European Champion Clubs' Cup, but usually just as the European Cup and European Cup champions mentioned.
