Ribery not played in Final Champions League

Bayern Munich's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) of the suspended Franck Ribery for the Champions League final failure, does not mean the midfielder play in game.Ribery appealed to UEFA and CAS after receiving a red card against Lyon address for an on-the-ball to Lisandro Lopez and tried the three-game suspension in the standard suspension of each round (where he served already).


But after rejecting the first appeal, UEFA, CAS followed suit and Ribery will now miss the game against Inter Milan at the Bernabeu on Saturday.A CAS statement read:''The Court of Arbitration for Sport has its final decision on the complaint of FC Bayern Munich , Franck Ribery against the decision by the UEFA Appeals Body, 5 May 2010 submitted.


This accelerated procedure''was by a committee of Mr Bernhard worlds CAS (Switzerland) composed President, Dr. Stephan Netzle (Switzerland) and Dr. Andras Gurovits (Switzerland).''A hearing was held today in the Central CAS, while the the parties and their legal representatives had been consulted. The CAS Panel rejected the appeal and upheld the three-game suspension by UEFA's Appeals Body of FC Bayern Munich players Franck Ribery imposed. As a result,''will play the player is not entitled to the final of the Champions League in 2010. The reasons for the decision will be published by the CAS in a few days.''
